Question: Are biomarker tests being used in canada?
I was just reading a brochure from ccfa that described a number of tests: pANCA, ASA CBir1,OmpC. Are these tests available in Canada when a person's diagnosis is unclear?
These blood tests have shown to potentially help in diagnosing Crohn's and ulcerative colitis and potentially distinguishing between the two. As far as I am aware these tests are not available in Canada. A laboratory in the USA called Prometheus offers these tests. I am unsure of the cost.
