Question: Long-term effects of Cortifoam

I have chronic pouchitis and my gastroenterologist has me on a two-week rotation of 500 mg. Cipro, then Cortifoam once a night for two weeks.

I know about the long-term effects of Cipro, but am wondering if it's safe to be on Cortifoam long-term?

Also, are there any new drug trials for chronic pouchitis?

Thank you.
